Yoga and Meditation

The Brant Foundation New York & Greenwich July 11th, 2018

The Brant Foundation’s scope of learning programs extends beyond the traditional by offering immersive yoga experiences in the galleries.

Surrounded by art, participants find inspiration and relaxation as they practice mindful meditation in a peaceful, creative setting. Our one-hour yoga sessions are open to all skill levels and led by certified instructors who teach the age-old technique.  Following the session, The Brant Foundation invites guests to explore the current exhibition – with heightened senses and a newfound focus, looking at art has never been better.

During warmer months, our yoga classes will be held outside amidst The Brant Foundation’s beautiful landscape – a fresh environment that will energize your practice.

Drop-In Meditation

The Brant Foundation New York

421 East 6th Street | New York, NY 10009

The Brant Foundation welcomes you to join us for drop-in meditation at our East Village location, led by spiritual and meditation teacher Gemma Gambee Lewis. Gemma is a seasoned teacher whose career across creative fields has been rooted in and informed by her twenty years of meditation practice. Enjoy this opportunity to connect with and nurture your spiritual center and find calmness among the extraordinary works of contemporary art that comprise our current show, Third Dimension: Works from The Brant Foundation. Participants are welcome to view the exhibition beginning at 5pm, and set up before the session begins at 5:30pm.

Gemma Gambee Lewis is a spiritual and meditation teacher nurturing the integration between the spirit and the mind. After a 20-year career in international fashion modeling, trend forecasting, and brand building, Gemma is most at home when sitting in meditation and teaching what this practice has generously given. She classically trained for more than two decades in the traditions of Yoga, Bhakti, the Vedas, Vedanta, and Kashmir Shaivism. When she is not meditating, she’s wrapped up in other creative pursuits like drawing, painting, hosting a sustainable fashion panel entitled Divine Adornment, and deep-diving brand strategy work.
