Featuring Peter Brant, Urs Fischer,  Neil Printz, Blake Gopnik, Larissa Harris and Tom Kalin

This lecture, 15 Minutes: Celebrating the Legacy of Andy Warhol, coincides with the the Foundation’s traveling Andy Warhol exhibition and is part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to contemporary art education.  Columbia University’s collection of Warhol’s Polaroid photographs and black-and-white prints donated by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts are on view as part of their Photographic Legacy Program, curated by Roberto C. Ferrari.  The lecture also coincides with the School of the Arts First-Year MFA Exhibition, curated by Deborah Cullen, Director and Chief Curator at The Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Art Gallery.

An afternoon round-table discussion of Warhol specialists includes: Neil Printz, Blake Gopnik, Larissa Harris, Tom Kalin. Each panelist will share in 15 minutes the photographs on display and aspects of Warhol that pertain to their own work, including larger themes of glamour, celebrity, portraiture, and desire.
Following will be a reception and viewing of the School of the Arts MFA First Year Exhibition, curated by Deborah Cullen, Director and Chief Curator at The Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Art Gallery.
Concluding the evening will be an artist’s talk by Urs Fischer and Peter Brant on Andy Warhol.
