Arts Education Programs for Grades K-12
The Brant Foundation strives to uphold its objective of art education advocacy by developing programs tailored to specific grade levels and the core standards of the Connecticut public school system. These programs allow students to learn and work in a contemporary art institution through lessons designed to excite and inspire. More explicitly, because our K-12 programs are particular to individual classrooms, each group’s current in-school curriculum is integrated into the docent-led tour and subsequent art project – making for a highly personalized, unique educational experience. Through immersive learning, the Foundation’s activities encourage the exploration and exchange of ideas in order to develop deeper understandings of contemporary art and to help navigate today’s highly visual society.
A school visit to the Brant Foundation includes an interactive tour of the exhibition and on-site workshop, providing a stimulating environment for students to examine artworks firsthand, process themes in the exhibition, creatively communicate, and reflect on their own artistic process. We look forward to meeting your students and contributing to the expanding dialogue surrounding contemporary art.
Please contact Sabrina Marsalisi for more information on our K-12 Programs, or to set up a visit for your students.
The Brant Foundation is proud to partner with K-12 institutions in order to promote arts education for students of all ages. Partnering schools and organizations include: Bronxville High School Art History Award, Side by Side Charter School Connections Program, Greenwich Land Trust – Go Wild!, Greenwich YMCA, and more!

Each year, The Brant Foundation (Greenwich and New York) hosts students in grades K-12 for interactive tours and onsite workshops. Scroll down to view a selection of student projects inspired by The Brant Foundation since its opening in 2009.
Visiting K-12 students explore the work of Francesco Clemente and create their own artworks inspired by the exhibition Works 1978-2018.
“I learned how to express my thoughts and feelings through art like the artist, Francesco Clemente.”– Zacharie (Stamford High School)
I learned that self-evaluations and self-expression are key to a happy and clear mind.
