Painting Workshop: Abstract Landscape

Taking place outside amidst The Brant Foundation’s vibrant landscape, located in Greenwich, CT, this instructed painting workshop encourages artists to explore the process of abstracting from the figurative world of nature.  Led by artist, Jennifer Caviola, participants will discuss Joe Bradley’s abstract paintings, currently on view at The Brant Foundation, and discover techniques for merging figurative and abstract forms inspired by the idyllic Connecticut terrain.

This painting workshop is $10 per person and open to artists of all experience levels.  Admission is free for students with a valid school ID and individuals under the age of 18.  Please bring your own materials (easels are available on site).

Jennifer Caviola received her BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY in 2002 and her MFA from Parsons in New York City in 2007. She has had solo shows in New York City, Brooklyn, and California and has participated in group shows throughout the United States, Europe and the Middle East. She has been featured in publications such as Vogue, The Huffington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Complex Magazine, Papermag, Juxtapoz and High Fructose.
